Dr. Jessica Sonnier is a board certified Family Physician. She attended Bowling Green State University and Defiance College for undergraduate studies. She received her medical degree from Xavier University School of Medicine in Aruba in 2008. She completed a 3 year residency in family medicine, finishing in 2011. Since that time she has practiced as an Emergency Room Physician in Lake Charles. Dr. Sonnier has also practiced in an Urgent Care setting. She is certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support, as well as, Pediatric and Neonatal Life Support. She has gone through advanced aesthetic training for the administration of cosmetic neuromodulators.
Dr. Melissa LeBrun, is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner that has over 17 years of emergency medicine experience in the Baton Rouge and Lake Charles area. She first obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University in 2005. She then completed her Nursing degree in 2007 from Our Lady of the Lake College/Tulane Hospital in New Orleans, LA. Her nursing experience includes Emergency Medicine and Oncology. In 2011, she completed her Master's degree in Nursing from Loyola University New Orleans and became board certified as a Nurse Practitioner. In December 2016, she completed her terminal degree, Doctorate in Nursing Practice, from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA. She completed her Masters of Public Health (MPH) at Dartmouth University. Currently, Dr. LeBrun is a Director of the FNP program at Loyola University New Orleans and works as an Epidemiologist.
Lauren Hanchey is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She first started working in the Emergency Room as a tech after high school while attending nursing school. She completed her undergraduate nursing degree at McNeese State University in 2011. Her nursing career focused mostly on Emergency Medicine, with Interventional Radiology, and Surgical Services including GI lab. In 2020, she completed her Masters in Nursing from Simmons University. She has since worked as a school-based nurse practitioner as well as primary care.
